Computerworld’s article “Free Windows XP tuneup: Put new life into an old workhorse” By Preston Gralla offers some nice tips for speeding up Windows XP and improved windows tools. I found the tips useful even though at this time I will not be using them because fortunately I am not having the performance issues they are referring to. The tools on the other hand, identified some tools I was unaware of such as Q-Dir and will try them.
This is a good article to bookmark for when you want try to improve your windows XP installation.
