Contact Pages for Your Website

You setup a free website or blog but you do not want to post your e-mail account in case you will be spam. Here are some free services that will host a custom contact page for you and prevent any spam issues.

Most the website descriptions are directly from their site. I have not had time to review each in depth but I wanted to share what I have found in searching for such services.

  • FormSmarts – Easy Web Forms. No Spam. Free.
  • ReachBy.com Beta! Create, manage, share personalized contact pages so people can learn about you, and send you a message by submitting a form. Use the contact page as your online business card.
  • XInbox.com is a unique free solution that does not let spam into your mailbox. The principle of its work is really simple and effective: you register your email address at XInbox.com, then you get a link to the spam protected contact form like this xinbox.com/support and you leave this link everywhere instead of your email address: on your site, in the signature of your messages, in forums, etc. Special software called ”spam spiders” cannot harvest your email addresses from this forms, so it provides your mailbox with almost 100% protection against spam.
  • WRASAP – Free Online Contact Form. What is WRASAP? It is a FREE web to email gateway service, which provides you with your own online contact form. i.e. a webpage with a contact form, which will forward messages to your email address.
  • Email Me Form is a free online form generator service that helps you create HTML forms for your website, with no programming required. Within minutes, by using our easy to use form wizard you can design simple or complex forms that send you an email each time your visitors submit them. After creating the web form, you get a HTML code to paste in your website, and the form will be there and working!
  • Kontactr is a free one-click contact form service that allows you to create your own free contact form so that people can contact you without knowing your email address.

Instead of a service, you decide you to create your own contact page to be hosted on your own website. Other free products are available to encrypt your e-mail account and block spammers.

  • Email Cloaker for Web from XInbox.com. Simple utility generates code that cloaks e-mail addresses in HTML and prevents them from being harvested by spam spiders.
  • SpwareInfo – If you have PHP or ASP enabled on your web site, you can have 100% protection from automated email-harvesting spam bots with DB Master’s form mailer. There is a version for HTML as well
  • SteveDawson.com – provides a PHP contact form designed to prevent spammers. In his article, he discusses how a spammer hijacks your contact form to generate spam. He provides a test to see if your contact is susceptible to such an attack.
  • FreeContactForm.com – provides a form does not use a graphic image with a value you need to type in. Instead it uses another question that is usable by those with eye problems using browsers that do not display images well. Only requires PHP to be running on the server.
